Safety is always our #1 priority, for all of our employees, customers, and the environment.
- All our staff is certified, and comply by the standards of OSHA.
- We make sure that every employee is trained in CPR and Basic First Aid.
- We maintain a drug and alcohol free work place, and have a zero tolerance policy.
- Employees are drug tested on a regular basis.
- Our drivers and operators maintain a safe, clean driving record, along with proper insurance and licensing.
- Equipment safety checks are done on a daily basis; before our equipment leaves the yard, and before operation at the job site location, in order to ensure the safety of the operator and all co-workers, as well as other contractors that may be present.
We also require our employees to complete safety courses before allowing them to perform work at or for Plunkett oil and Energy. Some of the courses we require are:
- Hydrogen Sulfide Safety – H2S
- Fire Extinguisher Training
- CPR Training
- Basic First Aid
All chemical applicators are required to acquire their Pest Control Applicator License before servicing any location. This ensures that every applicator has a proper understanding and respect for the chemicals they will be applying to the locations we service.
We are committed to excellence in our field. Our endeavor is to attend all Contractor Safety Meetings that operator companies are kind enough to invite us to. We view these meetings, not as boring time wasters the way the average person may, we recognize and value them as excellent opportunities for continued education and self improvement for everyone at Plunkett Oil and Energy. Regularly attending these meetings, helps us focus on improving safety practices, and the continuous improvement, in the quality of the lives of our employees, our customers and the industry as a whole.
